A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty in case you’ve got a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet extremely simple to work with, and it will enable you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll see a small-size "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it again will disable it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a mini symbol conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With just one single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the menu that will surface. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will warn you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
